An established multidisciplinary firm is seeking a Civil Engineer with more than 8 years of experience to join its Portland office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about land development who wants to broaden their technical abilities, take on more responsibility, and grow within a highly collaborative team environment.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and oversee project tasks while mentoring junior engineers.
- Lead civil design for site development and public works related to commercial and industrial building projects.
- Produce site design, grading, utility, erosion control, and stormwater management plans.
- Manage projects from initial concept through construction.
- Work closely with senior engineering leadership on day-to-day project activities.
- Communicate directly with clients, public agencies, and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in a team culture that enjoys group activities such as social events, outings, and internal competitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-directed work style with strong initiative.
- Interest in contributing to a collaborative, dynamic, and fun team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in land development for commercial or industrial projects.
- Public works project experience.
- Familiarity with local regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with Civil 3D.
- Knowledge of tools such as HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, Flowmaster, Autodesk Vehicle Tracking, and Bluebeam.
- Friendly, team-oriented attitude with an eagerness to continue professional growth.
