Senior Civil Engineer

A growing aviation engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to support and lead airside design and infrastructure projects for major domestic and international airports. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex airport development initiatives during a period of rapid growth, with exposure to geometric design, grading, drainage, pavements, utilities, visual and navigational aids, and related site civil elements. The position is ideal for someone who can operate both independently and collaboratively within multi‑disciplinary project teams.

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for producing detailed design documents, technical reports, specifications, and proposals for major airport clients, while also contributing to permitting, stakeholder coordination, and client-facing meetings.

Key responsibilities include: * Supporting and leading civil engineering design tasks for airport development projects
* Delivering discipline-specific project scope within defined budgets and schedules
* Preparing detailed design plans and specifications in accordance with FAA Advisory Circulars and applicable design standards
* Assisting with permitting efforts, design documentation, and construction packages
* Writing technical reports, design narratives, and supporting documentation
* Contributing to business development efforts and maintaining strong client relationships
* Participating in meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders

Qualifications and skills: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* PE license or EIT certification preferred
* 2 to 3 years of experience in airport civil design, including geometric layout, grading, drainage, and utilities
* Experience delivering multi‑disciplinary engineering projects from preliminary studies through detailed design
* Civil 3D experience preferred; full proficiency with AutoCAD required
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication abilities
* Familiarity with FAA and State DOT grant procedures and aviation approval processes (7460 filings, TCAP, TAA, etc.) is a plus
