The Role
A senior project management position for an experienced civil engineer ready to lead complex, high-profile projects, mentor project managers and engineering staff, and contribute directly to business development and company growth. You'll work closely with principals and senior leadership with real autonomy over your projects, teams, and client relationships.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Project Management
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and provide oversight of engineering and technical staff
- Coach, mentor, and provide performance guidance to project managers and engineers
- Develop project schedules, workload forecasts, and resource plans
- Monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, profitability, and portfolio performance
- Ensure consistent QA/QC and complete project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate resolution of complex project, client, and resource issues
Client Management and Business Development
- Serve as primary client contact and maintain long-term client relationships
- Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development efforts
- Lead preparation of SOQs, proposals, and interview presentations
- Represent the firm at client meetings, agency meetings, and industry events
Technical
- Provide technical oversight across engineering design and project execution
- Review and approve calculations, reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents
- Fulfill Engineer of Record responsibilities in accordance with Washington State licensing requirements
- Lead resolution of complex engineering and constructability issues
- Support construction through site visits, RFI responses, and technical recommendations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Washington State PE license
- 10+ years of civil engineering project management experience
- Private-sector land development experience required
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Washington State driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state PE licensure
- Public-sector project experience
- Construction field experience
- PMP certification

Compensation
- $120,000 to $165,000 depending on experience, plus performance-based bonus
