Senior EIC Engineer - Pipelines (Oil/Gas/Utilities)
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Engineering
- Lead and review electrical design packages: one-lines, grounding, lighting, raceway layouts, and interconnection diagrams.
- Specify and evaluate equipment (e.g., switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers).
- Oversee system studies (load flow, arc flash, coordination) using tools like ETAP or SKM.
- Guide junior engineers and ensure quality through technical reviews and mentorship.
Instrumentation & Controls
- Direct development of I&C packages: loop diagrams, I/O lists, control panel layouts, and P&IDs.
- Specify and validate PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, and instrumentation.
- Provide oversight on network architecture and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3).
- Support FAT/SAT planning and field integration.
Project & Team Leadership
- Lead conceptual design, scope development, and proposal efforts.
- Conduct site visits, risk reviews (e.g., HAZOP, LOPA), and QA/QC checks.
- Serve as a technical liaison with clients and vendors.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal standards and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field (ABET-accredited); Master's may substitute 1 year of experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience; EPC project experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design tools.
- PE license preferred; ability to travel as needed.
