Senior Engineer
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute wastewater engineering projects from planning through design and construction.
- Lead the preparation of engineering reports, technical memoranda, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Design and evaluate wastewater treatment processes, facilities, and related infrastructure.
- Perform hydraulic, process, and systems analyses for municipal wastewater projects.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal project teams.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, quality control requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Support construction administration activities, including submittal review, RFIs, and field observations.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and assist with business development efforts.
- Participate in professional organizations and industry conferences.
- Support proposal development, presentations, and project pursuits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of experience in municipal wastewater engineering or environmental consulting.
- Experience with wastewater treatment plant design, upgrades, and expansion projects.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including responsibility for budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, hydraulics, and infrastructure systems.
- Experience preparing technical reports, design documents, and construction specifications.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with water reuse, reclaimed water, or advanced treatment technologies.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Established relationships within the municipal water/wastewater market.
- Previous staff management or mentoring experience.
