Position Overview: Senior Environmental Scientist
This full-time role is ideal for a mid-level environmental consultant with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience. The position involves both fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, supporting project leads and technical teams on a variety of environmental assessment and remediation projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental due diligence assessments, including Phase I and Phase II site investigations
- Perform field sampling, soil screening, and oversee construction-related environmental tasks
- Compile and organize field data, including logs, photographs, and documentation
- Interpret environmental regulations and apply them to site-specific conditions
- Draft technical reports and documentation for regulatory compliance and client deliverables
- Communicate progress, findings, and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate occasionally with other departments on multidisciplinary projects
- Travel locally up to 80% of the time, with occasional overnight or weekend assignments
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related discipline
- 4-8 years of hands-on experience in environmental consulting or site investigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIS or CAD software is a plus
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification is preferred
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical screening
