Senior Estimator (Underground Utilities)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator specializing in wet utilities to join their team in Temecula, CA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accurately estimating and successfully bidding wet utility projects throughout Southern California. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for wet utility projects, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Manage bid schedules and ensure timely submission of proposals.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry pricing, market conditions, and regional regulations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience estimating and successfully bidding wet utility projects in Southern California.
• Strong understanding of local codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
