What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and support geotechnical investigations for commercial, residential, municipal, and infrastructure projects throughout the Myrtle Beach region.
- Plan, perform, and oversee field explorations, drilling programs, and subsurface investigations.
- Analyze geotechnical data and develop practical engineering recommendations.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, analyses, and foundation recommendations.
- Provide engineering support during design and construction phases.
- Work closely with project managers, environmental professionals, contractors, and clients.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and field staff.
- Support project delivery while maintaining high technical standards and client satisfaction.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to the continued growth of the local operation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or on track to obtain licensure.
- Experience with geotechnical site investigations, foundations, earthwork, and construction support.
- Strong report writing and technical communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers or an interest in developing leadership skills.
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering practical engineering solutions.
