An established geotechnical engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute geotechnical engineering projects from planning through completion.
- Manage subsurface investigations and field exploration programs.
- Perform advanced geotechnical analyses and engineering evaluations.
- Develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, site development, retaining structures, slopes, and ground improvement solutions.
- Interpret field and laboratory testing data and translate findings into practical engineering recommendations.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, calculations, technical memoranda, and proposal documents.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Review engineering plans and specifications for geotechnical compliance and constructability.
- Support business development efforts through client interaction and proposal preparation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Qualifications
Education
- Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of professional geotechnical engineering experience.
- Experience leading geotechnical investigations and engineering studies.
- Proven experience performing engineering analyses and preparing technical reports.
- Experience working on commercial, residential, industrial, transportation, infrastructure, or energy projects is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles.
- Experience with settlement evaluations, slope stability analyses, retaining systems, and earthwork design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Experience utilizing geotechnical engineering software and design tools.
