This firm is looking to bring on a Senior Highway Construction Inspector to manage inspection projects across New Jersey
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and standards.
- Inspect materials and workmanship for contract adherence.
- Maintain accurate records of contractor performance and material deliveries.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ensure regulatory compliance at all levels.
- Identify risks and recommend solutions to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site.
- Log daily construction and inspection activities.
- Track progress and quality across all project phases.
- Prepare monthly work estimates and review contractor payments.
- Verify completed work meets specifications and codes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10- 15 years of construction inspection experience
- NICET III Certification (New Jersey Professional Engineer license preferred)
- Experience on NJDOT, NYSDOT & NYCDOT infrastructure projects is a plus.
- Training in Work Zone Traffic Control
- Nuclear Gauge Testing Certification
- ACI Certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Nuclear Gauge Radiation Safety and U.S. DOT Hazardous Material (HazMat) Training
- Basic computer skills required.
