Help Deliver Critical Transportation Improvements Across East Tennessee
A growing construction engineering and inspection consulting firm is seeking a Senior Inspector to support major transportation infrastructure projects throughout the Oak Ridge, TN area.
This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful roadway and bridge projects while serving as a key member of the construction oversight team. The ideal candidate will have a strong transportation construction background, experience working on TDOT projects, and the certifications needed to hit the ground running.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction inspection on roadway, highway, bridge, and transportation projects
- Ensure contractor compliance with plans, specifications, and TDOT requirements
- Track quantities, prepare daily reports, and maintain project records
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and client representatives
- Monitor quality assurance and quality control requirements
- Review materials testing and construction operations
- Verify compliance with project standards and contract documents
- Support successful project delivery through proactive field oversight
Requirements
- Transportation construction inspection experience required
- TDOT project experience strongly preferred
- Active TDOT certifications preferred
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician certification preferred
- ICC certifications preferred
- Knowledge of transportation construction methods and inspection procedures
- Ability to read plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong communication and organizational skills
