Our client is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to support a growing portfolio of FDOT and municipal construction projects throughout South Florida. This is an opportunity to work with an established consultancy known for technical excellence, long-term employee retention, and a collaborative, team-focused culture.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform and oversee daily construction inspections on roadway, bridge, utility, and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Ensure contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, standards, and safety requirements.
- Review construction activities, quantities, materials testing, and documentation.
- Prepare detailed daily reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and public agency representatives.
- Mentor junior inspectors and provide field leadership when required.
- Support project delivery from construction kickoff through final acceptance.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of CEI inspection experience on transportation projects.
- Experience working on FDOT, municipal, county, or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction specifications, plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with project stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications
- FDOT Advanced MOT
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Levels I & II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection
- Florida Stormwater, Erosion & Sedimentation Control Certification
- ACI Field Technician Certification
