Location: West Palm Beach or Merritt Island, FL (On-Site)

An established multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join its growing MEP team. This individual will lead mechanical design efforts across a variety of commercial, healthcare, education, government, and institutional projects while collaborating closely with engineering and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical HVAC design from concept through construction documents
- Develop Revit MEP models, plans, specifications, and design documentation
- Perform load calculations and equipment selection
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and structural teams
- Support construction administration activities, including RFIs and submittal reviews
- Identify and resolve design conflicts through proactive coordination
- Mentor junior designers and support quality control efforts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of MEP consulting mechanical design experience
- Strong proficiency with Revit MEP
- Experience with HVAC systems, ventilation, hydronics, and building automation systems
- Familiarity with Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, and Navisworks
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE, IMC, NFPA, and applicable building codes
- Ability to independently manage mechanical design scopes
- Strong communication and coordination skills
