A leading MEP engineering group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead complex building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, and mission‑critical sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives in technical leadership, client-facing roles, and mentoring developing engineers.
What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical system design, including HVAC, hydronic systems, air distribution, and building controls
- Oversee plumbing system design (domestic water, sanitary, storm, medical gas, and specialty systems)
- Develop and review drawings, specifications, load calculations, and equipment selections
- Coordinate closely with architectural and multidisciplinary MEP teams
- Serve as project engineer, managing scope, schedule, budgets, and technical quality
- Attend client meetings, perform site assessments, and provide construction‑phase support
- Mentor junior engineers/designers and provide technical leadership across the team
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in building systems
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong background in HVAC and plumbing design, codes, and industry standards
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, mixed‑use, or mission‑critical environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
