Operations Supervisor | Combined Cycle Power Generation
Lead and oversee daily operations and maintenance activities at a large combined cycle power facility to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance. Responsible for supervising plant personnel, coordinating maintenance and outage activities, supporting regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of power generation experience, ideally including combined cycle operations.
- 5+ years of leadership experience or previous Control Room Operator experience.
- Strong knowledge of gas and steam turbine operations, plant auxiliary systems, and maintenance best practices.
- Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with OSHA, environmental compliance, and NERC reliability requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, team development, and decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise operations and maintenance personnel on a rotating shift schedule.
- Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate contractor activities, outages, training programs, and daily work schedules.
- Lead incident investigations, troubleshooting efforts, and corrective action plans.
- Manage inventory, budgets, operational procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Serve as a key point of contact during outages and emergency response situations.
- Support workforce development through training, mentoring, and performance management.
Preferred Background
- Combined cycle power plant experience with both operations and maintenance responsibilities.
- Experience with outage management, LOTO programs, and plant safety leadership.
- Technical training, military experience, or an engineering-related degree is a plus.
Location: Florida (Combined Cycle Power Facility)
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shift leadership role.
