Senior Project Manager - Data Centers
We are partnering with a national subcontractor that specialises in delivering complex scope packages across large-scale Mission Critical developments, including hyperscale data center builds. As part of their continued expansion in the Southeast, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead delivery efforts in the Charlotte market.
This is a senior leadership role, managing multiple high-value projects and working alongside leading General Contractors on technically demanding, fast-track data center programmes.
Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring alignment on scope, cost, and schedule
- Act as the primary point of contact for General Contractors, clients, and key stakeholders
- Lead project teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff, ensuring effective coordination and execution
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, maintaining strict cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and contract administration activities
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Participate in executive-level reporting and strategic planning as required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within the construction industry
- Strong track record delivering Mission Critical projects, with data center experience highly preferred
- Prior experience working for a top-tier General Contractor is essential
- Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and contract management
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance project environment
