Senior Project Manager

Our client, a regional engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead transportation engineering projects across Michigan. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience who is ready to manage complex infrastructure projects, mentor junior staff, and strengthen client relationships.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading transportation projects from planning through construction
  • Managing budgets, schedules, and project deliverables
  • Coordinating with clients, agencies, and internal teams
  • Overseeing QA/QC and ensuring compliance with MDOT and industry standards
  • Supporting business development and proposal efforts
  • Mentoring and developing junior engineers and project managers
  • Collaborating with other discipline leads across the firm
  • Representing the firm at client meetings and public forums

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 10 years of transportation engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of MDOT standards and procedures
  • Experience with roadway design, traffic studies, and transportation planning
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan (or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
