Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the heavy civil site development for large residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in civil construction, project management, and residential sitework. Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of heavy civil site development for large residential projects, including grading, utilities, roadwork, drainage, and infrastructure installation.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop, implement, and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion. Monitor and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Budget Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, including field staff, subcontractors, engineers, and consultants, ensuring clear communication and smooth project execution.
• Coordination & Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the project team, clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings to review progress and resolve issues.
• Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with project specifications, local codes, and industry standards. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to verify quality and safety.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays or cost overruns. Proactively address issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, review, and administration of contracts with subcontractors and vendors. Ensure all contractual obligations are met.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols on all construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, including progress, budgets, schedule, and any challenges or risks.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on heavy civil site development for large residential construction projects.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring project teams, ensuring accountability and high performance.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of heavy civil construction, including grading, utilities, stormwater management, and road construction.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar (preferred). OSHA 30-hour certification (or equivalent).
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency with project management and scheduling software such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues early and take corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure compliance with all project specifications, codes, and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large residential subdivisions, master-planned communities, or similar large-scale site development projects.
• Familiarity with local regulations, permitting processes, and building codes in [insert location].
