Our client, a growing engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex project portfolios and drive operational excellence across multiple offices. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an individual with a strong background in the AEC industry, particularly within MEP engineering, who excels at project delivery, financial management, and mentoring project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple engineering projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are achieved.
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, labor utilization, forecasting, revenue projections, and profitability.
• Identify project risks early and implement proactive recovery strategies.
• Partner with leadership, department managers, project managers, and accounting teams to maintain project health and operational efficiency.
• Standardize project management processes, reporting tools, and best practices across the organization.
• Support proposal development, scope management, contract administration, and change order negotiations.
• Facilitate project review meetings and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
• Mentor and train project managers, engineers, and support staff on financial accountability, scheduling, communication, and project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on project delivery, forecasting accuracy, and overall business performance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience within the AEC industry, including significant exposure to MEP engineering projects.
• Proven track record managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team development experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project reporting tools.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities while managing day-to-day project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Experience working within a multi-office engineering consulting environment.
• Familiarity with ERP and project management software platforms.
