Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Project Manager to join a high-performing team in Connecticut.

What You'll Lead

You will serve as both a technical and client-facing leader responsible for project execution, team development, and business growth.

  • Manage geotechnical projects from proposal stage through final delivery.
  • Prepare and review geotechnical reports, specifications, construction plans, and engineering recommendations.
  • Lead client relationships, project coordination, budgeting, billing, and scheduling activities.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Support excavation design, retaining structures, and advanced geotechnical analyses, including PLAXIS 3D modelling.
  • Oversee field investigations, construction observations, and quality control efforts.
  • Help expand existing client relationships while supporting new business development initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 9-10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Strong background in geotechnical investigations, construction inspections, and field operations.
  • Experience with earthwork, deep foundations, load testing, excavation support systems, retaining walls, and ground improvement.
  • Proven project management experience, including budgets, schedules, proposals, and client management.
  • Strong communication skills with experience mentoring engineers and leading project teams.
  • Familiarity with industry software such as PLAXIS, LPILE, SLOPE/W, gINT, and related geotechnical analysis tools is highly desirable.
