About the Role
The Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer to join the New York City office. This individual will play a key role in the design and management of a broad range of land development projects for both municipal and private sector clients. Job Responsibilities
Lead and support the preparation of site/civil engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for projects in NYC and the metropolitan area.
Manage project responsibilities, including discrete tasks, schedules, and budgets.
Oversee construction administration, including periodic site visits to active construction sites.
Provide guidance, delegation, and training to junior staff.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering.
5-10 years of professional experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in NYS preferred; candidates with PE licensure in other states must obtain NYS licensure within 6-12 months of hire.
Experience with day-to-day project communication and coordination with clients and design consultants.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
Familiarity with the NYC permitting process and/or Westchester County approvals process.
Compensation
Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience.
