About the Role

The Engineering Department is seeking a Senior Site Civil Engineer to join the New York City office. This individual will play a key role in the design and management of a broad range of land development projects for both municipal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and innovation in shaping the future of New York.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the preparation of site/civil engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for projects in NYC and the metropolitan area.

  • Manage project responsibilities, including discrete tasks, schedules, and budgets.

  • Oversee construction administration, including periodic site visits to active construction sites.

  • Provide guidance, delegation, and training to junior staff.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Civil Engineering.

  • 5-10 years of professional experience.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in NYS preferred; candidates with PE licensure in other states must obtain NYS licensure within 6-12 months of hire.

  • Experience with day-to-day project communication and coordination with clients and design consultants.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D

  • Familiarity with the NYC permitting process and/or Westchester County approvals process.

Compensation
Salary range: $90,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience.
