Senior Structural Engineer
A growing engineering team is seeking a structural engineer or designer with experience in water and wastewater facility design. This role supports a variety of infrastructure projects, with a focus on treatment-related structures. The position offers opportunities to work on technically challenging assignments, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to both design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for water and wastewater facilities
- Develop calculations, sketches, and design documentation
- Oversee drafting teams and ensure quality in structural deliverables
- Support construction through field visits, RFIs, and submittal reviews
- Manage project tasks including budgets, schedules, and quality control
- Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines
- Lead small to mid-sized project teams and contribute to technical execution
- Apply relevant codes and standards and support internal process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum five years of structural design experience, including reinforced concrete and steel
- Direct experience with water/wastewater facility design is required
- Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318/350, AISC, and ACI 530
- Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., RISA 3D, STAADPro, SAP2000)
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam
- PE license preferred
- Ability to meet standard onboarding requirements
