What You'll Do
As a Structural Engineering Project Manager, you will lead projects from concept through construction while serving as both a technical and client-facing leader.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing structural building projects from inception through completion
- Leading project teams and coordinating engineering deliverables
- Overseeing analysis and design of steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures
- Reviewing calculations, drawings, and construction documents
- Coordinating with BIM teams, architects, contractors, and ownership groups
- Conducting site observations and providing construction-phase support
- Reviewing shop drawings and responding to field questions
- Managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and additional service requests
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 6+ years of structural engineering experience within building design
- 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience designing structures utilizing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
- Experience with renovations, seismic retrofits, and structural assessments
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Experience leading complex commercial, residential, mixed-use, institutional, or hospitality projects
