Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager
Our client, a national, 100% employee-owned civil engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager to lead roadway and transportation projects in the Atlanta region. Responsibilities include:
- Leading transportation design projects from concept through final plans
- Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with GDOT and AASHTO standards
- Overseeing roadway design, traffic operations, and related improvements
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
- Coordinating with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting staff development
- Assisting with proposals, scope development, and client presentations
- Driving quality control and ensuring compliance with applicable standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 6 years of experience in transportation engineering
- Strong knowledge of GDOT standards and procedures
- Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, or similar
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia
- Proven experience managing projects and leading teams
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
