Role Summary
This role is ideal for a hands‑on Water Resources / Civil Engineer who enjoys doing the work, not just managing it. You will contribute directly to the design, analysis, and delivery of water resources and civil infrastructure projects, while collaborating across offices and disciplines.
This is not a high‑pressure sales role, the focus is on being a technical producer who can own their space, adapt to different project needs, and support a growing team in Nashville.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Production
- Design and deliver water resources and civil infrastructure projects, including:
- Stream restoration and drainage projects
- Waterline replacement and utility infrastructure
- Floodplain and hydraulic analysis
- Erosion & sediment control
- Transportation‑adjacent civil work (culverts, roadway drainage, etc.)
- Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling using tools such as:
- HEC‑RAS
- Other federal / municipal hydraulic software
- Support governmental and federally funded projects
Project & Team Support
- Work across disciplines as workload demands
- Support project managers with technical execution
- Assist with field reviews, constructability input, and troubleshooting
- Contribute to a collaborative, non‑siloed culture
Growth in Nashville
- Help re‑establish and grow water resources capability in the Nashville office
- Initially more production‑focused, with client exposure increasing over time
- Leverage existing teaming relationships and strategic partners
What They're Looking For
- 5-10+ years of experience in water resources / civil engineering
- PE preferred, but strong producers without a PE will be considered
- Experience with:
- DOT or public infrastructure projects
- Municipal / governmental clients
- Hydraulic modeling and stream projects
- Flexible, adaptable mindset - comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Professional who can own their role and integrate into a close‑knit team
