Role Summary
As a Environmental Routing & Siting PM, you will oversee major routing, siting, and environmental evaluation efforts that support large‑scale energy and infrastructure development. In this role, you will coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams, manage regulatory strategy, and serve as a subject matter resource in routing analysis, NEPA compliance, and land‑use permitting. You will guide projects from early planning through permitting, working closely with clients, agencies, and technical specialists to ensure timely and high‑quality outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead routing and siting analyses to support regulatory filings at state and federal levels
- Develop environmental evaluations, impact assessments, and NEPA documents for a range of project types
- Manage land‑use permitting processes and coordinate with local jurisdictions and officials
- Facilitate pre‑application meetings and guide consultation strategies with oversight authorities
- Serve as a primary writer and reviewer for routing reports, environmental studies, and regulatory documentation
- Mentor junior staff, providing direction, quality control, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with clients, resource agencies, and internal teams to support successful project delivery
- Support strategic growth efforts, including proposal development and client relationship building
- Manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Natural Resources, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in routing/siting, environmental permitting, NEPA processes, or infrastructure‑related environmental work
- Proven ability to lead environmental or infrastructure projects from planning through execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of managing complex workloads
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Knowledge of regulatory environments within Great Lakes or PJM‑region states (preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing or contributing to testimony for siting or licensing proceedings
- Business development experience or history of supporting seller‑doer responsibilities
- Background completing CPCN filings, NEPA documentation, or facility siting submissions
- Previous work on transmission, renewable energy, or large‑scale infrastructure projects
