Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, roadway, paving, excavation, utilities, or site development construction preferred
  • Strong understanding of concrete paving, asphalt paving, grading, base prep, drainage, and civil construction sequencing
  • Experience with MDOT, municipal, county, airport, or private development work is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, bid documents, and construction drawings
  • Experience with takeoff software, estimating platforms, Bluebeam, Excel, or similar tools
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with both office and field teams
  • Backgrounds in estimating, project engineering, field engineering, project management, or paving operations would translate well
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, but equivalent field or industry experience will also be considered
