A global provider of automation and integration solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead growth in the mission critical (data center) sector. This role requires a proven leader with strong industry relationships, technical knowledge, and a hunter mentality to establish new business and expand existing accounts.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for the mission critical market
Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, OEMs, contractors, and end-users
Serve as the primary client interface, presenting solutions and capabilities
Drive consistent customer engagement through meetings, proposals, and presentations
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and competitive bids
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities
Cultivate long-term partnerships with senior decision-makers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
5+ years of business development/sales experience in automation or electrical integration for mission critical facilities
Established network within EPCs, GCs, OEMs, and data center clients
Hands-on familiarity with major control system platforms (Ignition, Rockwell, Wonderware, Emerson DeltaV)
Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing accounts
Experience with system integration or specialized contracting firms
Strong communication, presentation, and independent work skills
Willingness to travel and represent the company at industry events
