Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer to support a diverse portfolio of civil and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead or support engineering teams in producing coordinated, high-quality designs for civil and environmental projects.
- Manage and monitor all aspects of complex, multidisciplinary projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation including design criteria, technical memorandums, reports, drawings, design packages, and cost estimates.
- Provide strategic planning and consulting services to clients.
- Review and guide work products developed by junior engineering staff.
- Execute project management duties including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, quality assurance, safety oversight, and client engagement.
- Build and maintain client relationships, participating in marketing, contractual, and design meetings.
- Champion QA/QC procedures across project deliverables.
- Support internal training initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or related Engineering Technology degree with successful completion of the FE exam.
- Master's degree in Environmental Engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
- Minimum of 3 years (4 years preferred) of environmental engineering experience, ideally in a consulting environment.
- FE or EIT certification preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with construction oversight and understanding of construction methods.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 10%).
- Strong knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, regulators, and team members.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
