Position Overview

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in the planning, design, and execution of complex civil engineering projects. This position involves overseeing infrastructure development, site design, and utility systems while guiding project teams, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, stormwater systems, roadways, and utilities.
  • Perform and review site evaluations, design calculations, feasibility studies, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders such as architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Review and approve plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Support project management activities including scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.
  • At least 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on site development and infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software.
  • Strong knowledge of stormwater design, grading, and utility systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
