Compensation: $140,000 - $185,000+ DOE

A growing consulting engineering firm is seeking a Stormwater Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure and stormwater projects throughout the Seattle metropolitan area. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex projects, mentor engineering staff, and build long-term client relationships while working within a collaborative and employee-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, project management experience, and a strong understanding of stormwater systems, municipal infrastructure, and public-sector consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead stormwater planning, modeling, design, permitting, and construction support projects.
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for future work.
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and project execution plans.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage project workloads.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and deliverable schedules.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, drainage studies, design calculations, and permit packages.
  • Oversee the development of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Support proposal development and business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
  • 10+ years of experience in stormwater and municipal civil engineering.
  • Demonstrated success managing engineering projects from planning through construction.
  • Strong leadership, client management, and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software.
  • Familiarity with civil design platforms and GIS applications.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, engineering studies, and construction documents.

Preferred Experience

  • Project management certification (PMP) or similar training.
  • Established relationships within the public-sector infrastructure market.
  • Experience navigating stormwater regulations, permitting processes, and agency coordination.
  • Background supporting municipal, utility, transportation, or other public infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced experience with civil engineering design and modeling software.
