About the Role

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager - Structural to oversee and deliver complex civil and structural engineering projects. This role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with a passion for leadership, innovation, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and internal teams to align on objectives

Structural Engineering Oversight

  • Conduct or supervise structural analysis to ensure safety and code compliance
  • Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor engineers, drafters, and project staff
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

Quality Assurance

  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct site inspections
  • Ensure deliverables meet design and regulatory standards

Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide regular updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Risk & Financial Management

  • Monitor budgets, mitigate risks, and resolve project challenges
  • Ensure timely invoicing and contract compliance

Business Development (up to 20%)

  • Support proposal development and client outreach
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering project management experience
  • Active PE license
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • NCEES Record
  • Experience in land development or similar sectors
