Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
The Opportunity
A leading multidisciplinary engineering and design firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager Engineer to establish and grow the structural engineering practice in Dallas. This is a rare "office opener" role: you'll be the founding leader of the Dallas structural team, shaping its future direction while enjoying the full support of established offices and the broader company network.
You won't be starting from scratch, you'll step into a lively office with strong architectural, building envelope, and engineering teams already in place. Key Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering design and project management for K-12 schools, higher education facilities, and sports complexes.
Establish the Dallas structural engineering group, setting standards and mentoring future team members.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues (architectural engineers, building envelope specialists, BIM experts) to deliver integrated solutions.
Manage client relationships, ensuring projects meet technical, budgetary, and schedule expectations.
Leverage advanced tools and services such as laser scanning, BIM workflows, and vibration consulting to drive innovation.
Represent the firm in the Dallas market, strengthening its reputation for excellence and client service.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas (or ability to obtain quickly).
8+ years of experience in structural engineering project management, ideally with K-12, higher education, or sports facilities.
Proven leadership skills with experience building or growing a team.
Strong communication and client-facing abilities.
Familiarity with advanced tools such as laser scanning, BIM, and vibration analysis is a plus.
