Role Overview
We are seeking a Structural Forensic Engineer (Project Manager) with approximately 5 years of experience in structural restoration and repair projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in forensic investigations, building condition assessments, and structural failure analysis. Experience in parking garage restoration under Local Law 126 is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Lead structural forensic investigations for residential and commercial projects.
Assess structural failures, water intrusions, roof damage, and construction defects.
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution and client satisfaction.
Prepare detailed forensic engineering reports outlining findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with insurance companies, attorneys, and property owners.
Conduct field inspections, including roofs, crawlspaces, and building structures.
Provide expert testimony when required for legal cases.
Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural restoration and forensic engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Strong analytical and field inspection skills.
Ability to write technical reports and communicate effectively with clients.
Experience with premises investigations and product defect cases is a plus.
