The Role
As a Structural Restoration Engineer, you will lead and support the evaluation, design, and rehabilitation of existing structures, with a particular focus on building façades and/or parking structures. The role offers a balance of hands-on fieldwork, technical analysis, report writing, and direct client engagement, with visibility across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to structural evaluations, condition assessments, and field investigations of existing buildings, façades, and parking structures.
- Develop repair strategies, rehabilitation designs, and construction documents for restoration projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design using reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and wood systems.
- Prepare clear, well-structured technical reports, repair recommendations, and opinions on structural condition and service life.
- Collaborate directly with clients, architects, contractors, and internal team members throughout project delivery.
- Support and participate in construction administration, including site observations, shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, and coordination with contractors.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical knowledge-sharing where appropriate.
- Work closely with senior leadership on façade repair, waterproofing, parking structure rehabilitation, and broader restoration initiatives.
- Ensure engineering work meets quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Typically 4-15+ years of experience in structural engineering, with demonstrated experience in restoration, rehabilitation, or assessment of existing structures.
- Strong understanding of façade systems, parking structures, building envelopes, and repair methodologies.
- Experience with condition assessments, forensic investigations, or waterproofing consulting is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools (e.g., RISA, SAP, STAAD, or similar).
- Comfortable working in both field and office environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing experience.
- Interest in long-term technical growth, project leadership, and mentorship.
