The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Structures Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of bridge and transportation structure projects throughout California. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects while expanding your technical expertise, managing project responsibilities, and contributing to the growth of a thriving structures practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design of bridge and transportation structure projects.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and overall project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, public agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Perform structural assessments, inspections, and field investigations as needed.
- Support projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and contribute to team development.
- Utilize industry-standard software including OpenBridge, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, and LPile.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within six months.
- 3+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably focused on bridges or transportation infrastructure.
- Experience working on DOT-funded transportation projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and bridge design software.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and project management skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
