Substation O&M Maintenance Manager (Lewisville, TX or Canyon, TX)


COMP- 150k-165k + Bonus + Full Benefits

We're partnering with a growing power services organization seeking a Substation O&M Maintenance Manager to lead a high-voltage maintenance division responsible for substation operations, electrical testing, reliability programs, and small capital projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all day-to-day substation maintenance operations across preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Oversee electrical testing, troubleshooting, commissioning support, and emergency response activities.
  • Manage division P&L, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and operational performance.
  • Direct maintenance and testing of transformers, breakers, relays, protection & control systems, SCADA, batteries, and associated substation equipment.
  • Lead small capital projects including equipment replacements, upgrades, and reliability improvements.
  • Drive a strong safety culture while ensuring OSHA, NERC, NFPA, IEEE, and industry compliance.
  • Develop and mentor supervisors, technicians, relay technicians, and field personnel.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in utility, industrial power, substation, or high-voltage maintenance environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, budgets, and operational performance.
  • Strong background in substation equipment maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and outage management.
  • Experience with P&L responsibility, resource planning, and project execution.
  • Ability to lead both field and office operations while driving safety, reliability, and profitability.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NETA, NFPA, OSHA, and NERC standards.
  • Experience supporting utility customers, transmission owners, renewable generation assets, or large industrial power systems.
  • Asset management, reliability-centered maintenance, and root cause analysis experience.
