A well‑established construction general contractor with a strong pipeline of water and wastewater treatment plant work throughout Georgia is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to lead complex municipal and industrial infrastructure projects.
This role is ideal for a seasoned field leader who has successfully delivered treatment plants, pump stations, and related utility infrastructure and is looking for long‑term stability with a contractor known for technical excellence and repeat municipal work.
Position Overview
The Senior Construction Superintendent will oversee all on‑site construction activities for water and wastewater treatment plant projects, serving as the primary field leader responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and productivity. This individual will work closely with project management and self‑perform crews while coordinating multiple subcontractors and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day field operations for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects
- Supervise superintendents, foremen, craft labor, and subcontractors
- Enforce jobsite safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Review and interpret plans, specifications, schedules, and submittals
- Coordinate work sequencing, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries
- Work closely with project managers to maintain schedule, budget, and quality control
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily field planning sessions
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate daily reports, field documentation, and progress tracking
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent on water and/or wastewater treatment plant projects
- Strong background working for a construction general contractor
- Proven experience managing complex treatment plant scopes, including concrete, mechanical, piping, and electrical coordination
- Ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods for treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to work on projects throughout Georgia, with most work based in the Atlanta metro area
