Project Superintendent - Job Description
Role Overview
The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations on large construction projects. This in‑field role ensures work progresses safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day field operations on assigned projects.
- Support and collaborate closely with trade foremen.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and coordination.
- Communicate and coordinate with the general contractor and owners' representatives.
- Maintain and manage the project schedule to meet milestone and completion requirements.
- Forecast and manage on-site labor needs in partnership with the trade foreman.
- Monitor and manage fabrication schedules as needed.
- Participate in and help manage the BIM/coordination process.
- Maintain professional communication with team members and clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams across various departments throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings, including pull‑planning sessions.
- Be present on active job sites during construction activities and critical project phases.
- Provide effective problem‑solving support as issues arise.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and navigate varied terrain and elevations.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on data center construction projects.

- Hourly rate range: $60.00-$72.00.
