Are you excited about learning new technologies and working both in the field and office? This could be a great opportunity to advance your surveying career.

What You'll Do:

* Lead a survey crew in completing control, topographic, boundary, construction layout, and utility location surveys.

* Operate advanced surveying technology including robotic total stations, GPS equipment, laser scanners, automatic levels, and data collectors to accurately gather field data.

* Interpret construction plans, perform field calculations, and execute precise construction staking and layout.

* Maintain detailed field notes and manage survey data, files, and photographs.

* Ensure proper maintenance and operation of survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies.

* Follow all safety requirements and adhere to established health and safety procedures.

* Mentor and support junior crew members while helping manage field schedules and project workloads.

* Represent the organization professionally when interacting with clients, property owners, and project stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in Surveying & Mapping or Civil Engineering Technology preferred.

* 3-5 years of experience as a Survey Party Chief.

* Experience with Trimble survey equipment and Trimble Business Center preferred.

* Construction layout and/or utility corridor project experience preferred.

* Strong mathematical and trigonometric skills with an understanding of survey accuracy and error analysis.

* Proven leadership skills with the ability to make independent decisions and direct field crews.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to obtain OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.

* Willingness to work overtime, travel as needed with per diem provided, and work in various weather conditions.

* Valid driver's license and ability to pass background, motor vehicle, and drug screening requirements.
