Lead the Future of Water Infrastructure

We are seeking a Technical Manager to oversee engineering delivery for complex Water & Wastewater Conveyance projects. This is a leadership role for someone who excels in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving technical excellence, and partnering with municipal clients on critical water infrastructure programs.

The Opportunity

As the Technical Manager, you will guide engineering execution across multiple project types-including traditional, design-build, design-bid-build, and collaborative delivery. You'll ensure technical quality, coordinate cross-discipline work, and cultivate strong client relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on major municipal water and wastewater conveyance projects.
  • Provide technical oversight, review, and direction for project deliverables.
  • Mentor, develop, and support engineering staff.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, risk, and quality expectations.
  • Act as a key technical contact for clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Prepare and review complex engineering designs and calculations.
  • Serve as technical lead and responsible charge across assigned projects.
  • Recommend materials, equipment, and technical solutions.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables meet project goals, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Project & Team Management

  • Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines.
  • Lead production teams and provide daily technical direction.
  • Review work from junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Support staffing, performance management, and career development within the team.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Understand and address key client drivers, priorities, and concerns.
  • Communicate project updates, technical issues, and solutions.
  • Support proposal development and pursuit activities.
  • Assist in managing scope changes and project modifications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience in engineering consulting
  • Technical leadership experience on water/wastewater conveyance projects
  • Familiarity with large-diameter pipelines, pumping stations, and municipal infrastructure

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment screening (background check, drug test, MVR as applicable)

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work flexibility available post-onboarding
  • Video/audio collaboration tools used regularly
  • Occasional travel to client sites
  • Extended periods of computer-based work
