Tennessee Structural Lead

LVI Associates is currently partnered with a leading 100% employee owned southeastern based firm. Their Nashville office is looking for a seasoned bridge engineer ready to take the lead-not just on projects, but on people, strategy, and growth across Tennessee. This is a senior-level position based in Nashville with real authority: you'll oversee all structural engineering activity in the state and play a key role in shaping our regional presence and long-term vision.

You'll guide a growing team of engineers, take the reins on active projects, and help expand our bridge and infrastructure services. Beyond Tennessee, you'll collaborate with a national network of professionals on projects that span state lines and disciplines.

This is a leadership role for someone who's ready to step up and take charge of a group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of four direct reports and drive their professional development.

  • Take charge of 15+ active projects, managing schedules, quality, and delivery methods (both traditional and alternative).

  • Spearhead the growth of our bridge services in the Atlanta market.

  • Work with national teams to coordinate delivery on over 100 structural projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (required).

  • PE license in Tennessee preferred; SE license preferred

  • 10+ years of bridge/structural design experience

  • Experience working with TDOT projects (4+ years preferred)

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive performance and client satisfaction

  • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, InRoads/OpenRoads Designer

  • Proficiency in OpenBridge Designer, LEAP Steel, CSI Bridge, Merlin, or similar

  • Familiarity with DOT requirements and AASHTO LRFD design standards
