Traffic PM - Boston, MA (hybrid)

I'm working with a well-established engineering firm that has built a strong presence across Massachusetts and the broader New England region through long-standing partnerships with state agencies and local municipalities. They are currently looking to add a Traffic Project Manager to their growing transportation team.

In this role, you'll contribute to a wide range of impactful transportation and infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on traffic operations, safety, and multimodal design. The position offers a blend of technical work and project leadership, with exposure to both public-sector clients and complex, high-visibility assignments.

What You'll Be Working On

  • Complex urban corridor improvements focused on safety, operations, and multimodal accessibility
  • High-profile Design-Build transportation projects in collaboration with top contractors
  • Bridge and roadway improvement initiatives requiring detailed traffic staging and coordination
  • Complete Streets and multimodal projects across municipalities in Massachusetts
  • Ongoing on-call work with state agencies and local clients, providing consistent project flow and stability

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing project scopes, schedules, and deliverables across multiple assignments
  • Performing traffic analysis, safety evaluations, and supporting engineering documentation
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and public agencies (including DOTs)
  • Supporting design efforts, including signal design and operational improvements
  • Representing the firm in meetings with clients and industry stakeholders

What They're Looking For

  • ~10+ years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering
  • Strong background working with state agencies and/or municipalities (MassDOT experience is a plus)
  • PE license in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain shortly)
  • Experience with traffic analysis tools (Synchro, HCS, SIDRA, etc.)
  • Ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with both technical teams and clients

Location & Flexibility

  • Hybrid schedule based out of the Boston, MA area office

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $124K-$177K, plus bonus potential and additional benefits
