The Transmission & Distribution (T&D) practice is seeking a Project Manager to join its Austin, Texas office. This role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong leadership skills who is passionate about managing complex transmission projects and building lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of overhead transmission projects from concept through completion.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, and quality to ensure successful delivery.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
- Drive business development efforts, including proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and clients.
- Monitor project financials, staffing, risk, and compliance.
- Support team development through hiring, mentoring, and training.
- Travel to client and project sites as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in project management within the T&D industry.
- PE license and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of transmission design, construction documentation, and industry codes (e.g., NESC).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and develop client relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
