What you'll be doing:
- Leading business development for transportation services and maintaining high-value client relationships across the greater Seattle market and beyond
- Building and managing client teams made up of project managers, technical specialists, national leaders, and junior staff to develop capture plans, proposals, and presentations
- Serving as a key member of the strategy team driving growth in Washington and supporting broader Transportation West growth initiatives
- Stepping in as a technical or project lead on large, strategically important projects
- Staying active in professional societies where clients and prospective clients are involved
- Acting as a leader both internally and in the market
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree (equivalent directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree)
- 12+ years of related experience
- PE, AICP, and/or other transportation-related certifications preferred
- Transit engineering or planning experience at a consulting firm in the Washington market, including project and business development work with WSDOT, Sound Transit, SDOT, and King County Metro
- Strong knowledge of organizational management, finance and accounting principles, and corporate governance
- Excellent written and verbal communication, networking, and team-building skills
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as project demands require
Why this one is worth a look: You'd be joining a firm with a deep national bench and an established Pacific Northwest presence, with the autonomy to build the Washington transportation practice the way you think it should be built. This is a seat for someone who wants ownership of a market, not just a project list.
