Transportation Engineer Project Manager
Our client, a respected regional engineering firm with a strong presence across the Southeast, is seeking a Transportation Engineer Project Manager to lead roadway and infrastructure projects in Tennessee. This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensed engineer with project management experience who's ready to take ownership of key DOT and municipal projects in the Nashville area.
The Transportation Engineer Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing transportation design projects from concept through construction
- Leading internal teams and coordinating with subconsultants and clients
- Overseeing budgets, schedules, deliverables, and QA/QC processes
- Preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with TDOT and local standards
- Supporting business development through proposals and client presentations
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development
- Representing the firm at client meetings and public forums
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 8-15 years of transportation engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of TDOT standards and procedures
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee
- Proven experience managing roadway design projects
- Proficiency in MicroStation, GEOPAK, or OpenRoads
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- A collaborative mindset and passion for mentoring
