A well-established civil engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Senior Project Manager to lead and mentor a team of Project Managers while overseeing a diverse portfolio of transportation projects. About the Role
As the Transportation Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the department's backlog, guiding project execution, and supporting business development efforts. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of IDOT Phase I and II engineering projects, as well as county and municipal transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and mentor multiple Project Managers across various office locations
- Manage and track the transportation department's backlog to ensure timely project delivery
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term engagement
- Collaborate with the Business Development Team to identify and pursue IDOT PTB opportunities
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)
- 15+ years of experience in transportation engineering, including IDOT projects and staff management
- Proficiency in Microstation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and related softwares
