Transportation Project Manager
We are seeking a seasoned Transportation Engineer with a strong focus on highway and roadway design to join our team in Reno, NV. This role is ideal for an engineer who excels in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for public infrastructure projects, including arterial roads, interchanges, and rural highways.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of roadway and highway projects from concept through construction.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for roadway geometry, grading, drainage, and pavement design.
- Conduct alignment studies, corridor planning, and geometric design in accordance with AASHTO and state DOT standards.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors to ensure project goals and regulatory compliance.
- Perform site assessments and support construction engineering services.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in highway and roadway design.
- Active PE license in Nevada or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and roadway design software.
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and NDOT standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with NDOT project delivery processes.
- Familiarity with environmental documentation and permitting.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
