Transportation Project Manager
Our client, a well-established professional engineering and design firm, is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join their growing team. As a full-service firm offering civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and construction support services, they are recognized for their hands-on, personalized approach and extensive experience designing transportation systems and public infrastructure for local communities. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals on impactful transportation projects that directly serve communities while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values technical excellence, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the regions they serve.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete engineering plans and specifications in accordance with KDOT standards.
- Lead diverse project and study types involving local roads and major highways.
- Provide general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients.
- Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors, and public agencies.
- Assist with business development and client management efforts related to transportation and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
- Kansas Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 6+ years of relevant experience with municipal or highway agency transportation projects.
- Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and ongoing tasks.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
