Transportation Project Manager

Our client, a well-established professional engineering and design firm, is seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join their growing team. As a full-service firm offering civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and construction support services, they are recognized for their hands-on, personalized approach and extensive experience designing transportation systems and public infrastructure for local communities. Their work is guided by a strong commitment to sustainable design, responsive service, and long-term client relationships.

In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals on impactful transportation projects that directly serve communities while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that values technical excellence, professional growth, and meaningful contributions to the regions they serve.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and complete engineering plans and specifications in accordance with KDOT standards.
  • Lead diverse project and study types involving local roads and major highways.
  • Provide general civil engineering services for municipal, county, and state clients.
  • Coordinate construction activities with clients, inspectors, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Assist with business development and client management efforts related to transportation and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Kansas Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience with municipal or highway agency transportation projects.
  • Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and ongoing tasks.
  • Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to professional growth and shared success.
