Vice President - Infrastructure

Location: Arlington, TX, Houston, TX, The Woodlands, TX, Midland, TX - 3 days a week on-site
Travel: ~25% to offices, client meetings, and construction sites
Compensation: $220k - $275k base + 40% target bonus + comprehensive benefits

Role Overview

The Vice President - Infrastructure will lead all aspects of electrical infrastructure development and operations, including project management, construction, procurement, commissioning, and lifecycle asset management. This role is critical in ensuring that infrastructure assets deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective energy to customers. The VP will design and implement scalable processes and systems to support growth, operational consistency, and long-term performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the vision for the infrastructure portfolio, aligning with corporate growth and energy efficiency goals.
  • Project Management: Oversee large-scale electrical infrastructure projects from design through commissioning and operational handoff.
  • Construction Oversight: Direct construction activities to meet safety, quality, and schedule standards.
  • Operations Management: Ensure infrastructure assets operate at peak efficiency, reliability, and uptime; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Process Standardization: Design repeatable, scalable processes for project execution and asset operations.
  • Technology Integration: Introduce tools and platforms to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost control.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with development, engineering, and operations teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Procurement & Contracting: Lead sourcing strategies, negotiate major contracts, and manage vendor relationships for best-value outcomes.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical, financial, and operational risks across projects and assets.
  • Budget & Performance: Develop and manage capital and operating budgets; track KPIs for cost, schedule, and operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as senior liaison with clients, regulators, and investors; communicate milestones and operational results.
  • Team Leadership: Build and mentor high-performing teams across project development, construction, and operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or Engineering Management preferred.
  • 18+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure management or energy operations, with 10+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale electrical infrastructure projects from procurement through design, construction, and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of energy infrastructure systems, grid interconnection, and distributed generation.
  • Expertise in project management, operational efficiency, and process optimization.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or energy-specific credentials (CEM, LEED) are a plus.
